A doctoral or equivalent degree in a relevant academic area is required.

Postdoctoral research experience or at least two-years working experience at a university or research institute is normally required.

Research experience across various fields and institutions and strong teaching performance are preferred.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong communication, teaching and leadership skills in English as well as the ability to actively contribute to the rapidly growing research efforts at Tsinghua SIGS.

A strong commitment to teaching and supervising postgraduate students is essential. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in and development of graduate courses and strong engagement with Tsinghua SIGS’s core curriculum. Supervision of PhD and MSc students and academic mentoring of trainees at all levels is also expected.

優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)基金項目（海外）旨在吸引和鼓勵在自然科學(xué)、工程技術(shù)等方面已取得較好成績的海外優(yōu)秀青年學(xué)者（含非華裔外籍人才）回國（來華）工作，自主選擇研究方向開展創(chuàng)新性研究，促進(jìn)青年科學(xué)技術(shù)人才的快速成長，培養(yǎng)一批有望進(jìn)入世界科技前沿的優(yōu)秀學(xué)術(shù)骨干，為科技強(qiáng)國建設(shè)貢獻(xiàn)力量。

The National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars overseas aims to attract and encourage overseas young talent (including non-Chinese talent) who have made great achievements in the fields of natural science and engineering technology.

Funding

1. 資助強(qiáng)度：100-300萬元。

Funding amount: 1-3 million RMB

Applicant Qualifications

1. 優(yōu)秀青年科學(xué)基金項目（海外）的申請人應(yīng)當(dāng)具備以下條件

Basic requirements：

（1）遵守中華人民共和國法律法規(guī)，具有良好的科學(xué)道德，自覺踐行新時代科學(xué)家精神；

Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, have good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of scientists in the new era;

（2）出生日期在1986年1月1日（含）以后；

The birth date should be later than January 1, 1986；

（3）具有博士學(xué)位；

Obtain a doctor's degree；

（4）研究方向主要為自然科學(xué)、工程技術(shù)等；

The main research areas are natural science and engineering technology.

（5）在取得博士學(xué)位后至2026年申報截止日期前，一般應(yīng)在海外高校、科研機(jī)構(gòu)、企業(yè)研發(fā)機(jī)構(gòu)獲得正式教學(xué)或者科研職位，且具有連續(xù)36個月以上工作經(jīng)歷；在海外取得博士學(xué)位且業(yè)績特別突出的，可適當(dāng)放寬工作年限要求（不適用于通過中外聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)方式取得海外博士學(xué)位的情況）。

在海外工作期間，同時擁有境內(nèi)帶薪酬職位的申請人，其境內(nèi)帶薪酬職位的工作年限不計入海外工作年限。

The applicant should generally obtain formal teaching or research positions in overseas universities, scientific research institutions or research & development institutions of enterprise, and have worked continuously for more than 36 months by the application deadline in 2026. For those who obtained a Ph.D. degree overseas and have outstanding performance, the requirements on working years can be relaxed appropriately (excluding joint doctoralprograms).

Years spent in paid positions within China during overseas employment will not be counted into the overseas work experience.

（6） 取得同行專家認(rèn)可的科研或技術(shù)等成果，且具有成為該領(lǐng)域?qū)W術(shù)帶頭人或杰出人才的發(fā)展?jié)摿Γ?/p>

The applicant should obtain relevant achievements recognized by experts in the same field, and have the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in this field.

（7）申請人尚未全職回國（來華）工作，或者2025年1月1日以后回國（來華）工作。獲資助通知后須辭去海外工作或在海外無工作，全職回國（來華）工作不少于3年。

For the applicant who has not returned/came to work in China as full-time faculty, or returned/came after January 1, 2025, they are required to work in China as full-time faculty for at least 3 years after getting funding.

2. 限項要求

Application Limitation

執(zhí)行中央有關(guān)部門關(guān)于國家科技人才計劃統(tǒng)籌銜接的要求。同層次國家科技人才計劃支持期內(nèi)只能承擔(dān)一項，不能逆層次申請。

The requirements of relevant departments of the Central Government on the overall planning and connection of the national scientific and technological talent plan will be implemented. Only one national talent plan can be applied on the same level and cannot be applied in reverse level.

清華大學(xué)深圳國際研究生院是在國家深化高等教育改革和推進(jìn)粵港澳大灣區(qū)建設(shè)的時代背景下，由清華大學(xué)與深圳市合作共建的公立研究生教育機(jī)構(gòu)。

Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS) is a public graduate education institution jointly established by Tsinghua University and the Shenzhen Municipal Government against the backdrop of national efforts to deepen higher education reform and promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

國際研究生院于2019年3月29日正式揭牌，根據(jù)清華大學(xué)的發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略和深圳市的產(chǎn)業(yè)需求，優(yōu)先布局清華大學(xué)一流的工科學(xué)科并輔以創(chuàng)新管理，形成材料科學(xué)、信息科技、醫(yī)藥健康、海洋工程、未來人居、環(huán)境生態(tài)和創(chuàng)新管理七個學(xué)科領(lǐng)域，通過高層次國際合作、高水平人才培養(yǎng)和高質(zhì)量的創(chuàng)新實踐，服務(wù)國家和區(qū)域戰(zhàn)略以及全球的可持續(xù)發(fā)展。

SIGS was founded as an expansion and integration of the Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University (established in 2001), and the Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI, established in 2014). It was officially unveiled on March 29, 2019. It prioritizes the development of first-class engineering disciplines at Tsinghua University, complemented by the Innovation Management discipline, in line with Tsinghua's development strategy and the industry demands of Shenzhen.
